One of the primary reasons I am applying for __(type)__ position in __(name of organization)__ is because I believe it would be an honor to be a part of an organization that __(briefly describe what it does that is admirable – Example: helps preserve the freedom of our great nation)__. This position is also very appealing to me because of the tremendous opportunity it offers for on-the-job training while giving insight into to __(name of organization’s)__ policies and procedures. Such fundamental skills such as organization, communication and teamwork skills that would be gained from this experience would be essential in helping me to become a successful and productive employee. As well, it would give me the practical experience I need, applying all that I have learned in my courses which would enable me to catapult my career.

My ultimate goal is to obtain my __(type degree)__ and to utilize my learned skills as an employee within the Federal Government. It is my desire to direct my career to a federal employee role because of the large variety of opportunities the Federal Government offers. Whether I become a full time federal employee or take on a contract position, I am looking forward to a fulfilling career within the Federal Government.

I believe that I would be an excellent candidate for this position based my willingness to take on new challenges and experiences.
