I believe that __(company name)__ is a great company to work for and I am happy to be part of your team. I do take pleasure in the customer service work that I do and I am enjoying working with my team mates. However, with the best interests of the company at heart, I wish to bring a concern of mine to your attention.
It takes a tremendous amount of focused energy to maintain a fresh and courteous manner for each customer that we speak to on the phone. It can be stressful at times and can also become very exhausting, depending on the nature of the call. That is why our breaks and ‘time-outs’ are so important to us.
As with mechanical devices, we as human beings also require regular maintenance and recharging to keep us healthy, both physically and mentally. I know that I also speak on behalf of others when I say that our 30 minute lunch break seems to be too short. We are so rushed with collecting our lunch and having to gobble it down in order to be back to work on time, that sometimes we even have to forgo a biological break. Having a moment to relax before we have to be back on the phones again, is not feasible with our current 30 minute lunch break.
I truly believe that we could better serve our customers and thus this company, if we were given a little bit more time to recharge our energy during our lunch breaks. Even an additional 15 minutes would be helpful, though I am asking you please consider increasing our lunch break to a full hour.
