Dear …
I am so sorry to hear that your __(type of condition)__ is terminal. This came as very distressing news to me and I can only imagine how devastating it must be for you and your family.
It is difficult for me to respond this, __(Name)__. How terribly difficult it’s going to be for you in the days and weeks to come. I only wish I could say something that would be of real comfort. Yet, those words don’t seem to be coming easily.
What I do know, __(Name)__, is that you’ve touched the lives of so many people and we all love you so very much. Let the countless wonderful memories you’ve made with us help you through your darkest hours. Talk about them…bring them all back to life and relive each one of them. Hold on to them tightly __(and cherish each one as though you’ve just lived it / knowing that one day we will reunite to reminisce about each one of them all over again / etc.)__. Let those memories help you to know that you’ve been a blessing to so many and we will forever rejoice in your life.
Saying goodbye is so very hard. I am grieving with you and my thoughts and prayers will remain with you constantly during this time of heartbreak. I want you to know that you will always remain close to me in my heart.
All my love,
