RE: Youth Counselor position

I am submitting my resume to you as a first step in applying for a Youth Counselor position within your organization. I have a Social Work diploma and am now working towards a Child Studies degree. I have worked for Family Services in the past and found the experience to be very rewarding.

In my position with Family Services I not only gained a deeper understanding of the policies and procedures, but I was also exposed to the various client populations that access these services. Some of my major duties included: teaching parenting skills, connecting clients with relevant resources available in the community, behavior modification and one-on-one counseling.

My experience working as a Youth/Family Counselor has helped me to further develop my rapport-building and crisis management skills as well it has given me the ability to effectively adjust to numerous different environments within a short period of time.
